Two books disagreed on a coin-flip bet
In plain English
DraftKings and BetRivers briefly priced the same odd/even market differently on two Monday CFL games. When that happens, you can sometimes bet both sides — one at each book — and lock a small profit no matter which way the coin lands. That’s not “we know who wins.” It’s “the cash registers disagree.”
This updates (and replaces) an earlier evening check at 6:01 PM CT. Prices moved. The timestamp matters more than any big headline number.
The numbers (as of ~8:02–8:08 PM CT)
- Toronto at Hamilton (~1:30 CT Mon) — DK Even +120 / BR Odd −115 → about 1.07% locked ROI on $1,000 split (~$10.68 profit) if both bets fill
- Edmonton at Calgary (~5:00 CT Mon) — DK Even +120 / BR Odd −113 → about 1.52% locked ROI (~$15.16 on $1,000) if both fill
- Winnipeg at Saskatchewan — no odd/even market, so no arb
- Our sports-edge desk this cycle: no other edge (explicit)
Why it matters to a fan
Most “locks” you hear at the bar are opinions. This one is just mismatched prices. Small money, real math, easy to overhype — so we won’t.
What can still go wrong (residuals)
- Books limit how much you can bet
- Prices move after we checked
- Your state / account might not get both books
- Overtime settlement rules can differ — confirm before you bet both sides
For the technical reader
Verification re-checked arithmetic against Sports ARBITRAGE live DK+BR confirms. Soft Publish #2 supersedes Soft Publish #1 (6:01 PM CT −114 / ~1.27% ROI). Frame remains price discrepancy / math lock only — never “lock of the century,” never a winner pick, no NFL/MLB claim this cycle.
